    *This is a benefited, part time position generally working 7:30am-4pm three days per week with alternating weekends. Shift times may vary based on need. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion on the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla campus.*

    *What you'll do:*

    * Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.

    * Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.

    * Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.

    * Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.

    * Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

    *This position is eligible for up to $2k in New Hire Retention Incentives.*

    *The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:*

    * Internal candidates

    * Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

    * Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

    *In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :*

    * Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

    * Must remain in original department/specialty

    * Must remain in original Job Title

    Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

    *Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:*

    * ADN or Nursing Diploma

    * CA RN license

    * American Heart Association BLS

    * American Heart Association ACLS

    * Proficient in IV starts

    *Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*

    * BSN

    * 2-3 years RN experience

    * Cardiac and/or telemetry experience as an RN
