• Level 1 Cable Technician

    Description

    We are seeking skilled Cable Technicians to support a large-scale construction project. Technicians will assist with pulling cable and terminating keystone-style jacks, as well as installing and testing network infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:

    + Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/Cat6 and fiber optic cables

    + Install cabling infrastructure including:

    + Network racks

    + Server cabinets

    + Patch panels

    + Set up network racks and cabinets in server rooms

    + Review and interpret job documentation for assigned projects, including:

    + Floor plans and equipment locations

    + Reflected ceiling plans

    + Conduit call-outs

    + Wall elevations

    + Signal flow diagrams

    + Cable pull schedules

    Requirements:

    + Experience with structured cabling and network installations

    + Familiarity with keystone-style jack termination

    + Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics

    + Comfortable working in active construction environments

    + Strong attention to detail and safety protocols

    + This job will require the employees to regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Must have PPE before starting: Hard hat with chin strips ($20-$200 which they don't have to have an expensive one), safety glasses, steel toed shoes, vest,

     

    Level 1 pay $20-$21/HR depending on how much experience

     

    Looking for techs with positive attitudes and have great communication skills

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
