    Work Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

    Summary:

    The Orthopedic Tech is responsible for rooming patients in exam rooms, reviewing medications and past medical history with patients/parents, casting and splinting for pediatric patients and removing sutures and/or staples.

    Responsibilities:

    SERVICE • Fabricates prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, and workmanship. • Repairs prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, and workmanship. • Improvises when projects are unusual or obscure. • Fits patients with appropriate soft goods as ordered. • Instructs patient and or family member in the use and care of the soft goods. • Documents care provided in patient record. • Maintains a clean and safe working environment for patients and staff. • Maintains, cleans and adjust equipment. QUALITY • Modifies communication to level of patient's/customer's understanding and accommodates for differences in learning styles/needs. • Seeks assistance with fabrication issues/patient care issues from immediate supervisor or clinician. FINANCE • Assists in maintaining inventory. GROWTH • Maintains own schedule to maximize efficiencies in product completion.
