    Director of Facilities Services –

     

    $65,000 - $100,000/Year Based on Experience

As the Director of Facilities Services, you’ll oversee the overall management of our physical plant, grounds, equipment, and environmental services, ensuring all operations meet regulatory standards while supporting the mission of compassionate care.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance, housekeeping, and environmental services staff while fostering a positive, collaborative work culture

    + Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, CMS, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory codes

    + Prepare the facility for inspections, surveys, and audits, serving as a key leader in safety and compliance initiatives

    + Oversee daily operations of building systems, equipment, grounds, and preventive maintenance programs (including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems)

    + Supervise contractors and outside vendors to ensure quality and safety standards are met

    + Respond promptly to maintenance needs that impact resident comfort and safety

    + Partner with administration to identify, prioritize, and plan for capital projects, energy efficiency initiatives, and long-range facility needs

    + Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and reporting for cost-effective operations

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Business preferred

    + Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible facilities management experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role

    + Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems

    + Demonstrated knowledge of Life Safety Codes, NFPA, OSHA, and NYSDOH requirements

    + Experience with computerized maintenance systems (TELS or equivalent)

    + Valid driver’s license in good standing; ability to operate company vehicles as needed

    + Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

    + Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a resident-centered approach
