    Job Description

    Insight Global's client supports many government agencies and Department of Defense clients by offering customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. They also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.

     

    This position is located at the Milan, Ohio facility

    Responsibilities

    OVERVIEW

    Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years experience in pressure systems, heat exchanger and/or other related systems to support wind tunnel test facility refurbishment.

    TYPICAL FUNCTIONS

    Analyze pressure systems for adequate design margins

     

    Specify commercial components to meet design parameters established by the project

     

    Organize procurement of commercial and custom parts as necessary

     

    Update project technical leads with schedule and task information

     

    Work with technicians to properly install and test hardware

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 10+ years of experience

     

    - Knowledge of fluid and pipe analysis techniques and the ability support the Analysis Group’s efforts.

     

    - Working knowledge of ASME B31 standards (ASME BPVC a plus).

     

    - Experience with selection and sizing of general fluid system components such as pumps, valves, regulators, etc.

     

    - BS ME MET or equivalent experience

     

    - Experience developing piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID)

    - Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC)

    - Experience in design and verification of pressure systems and related hardware (i.e. heat exchangers,

     

    - Experience working in an environment with 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations - Industrial, automotive, or aerospace experience

     

    - Heat exchangers, coolers, chillers

     

    - Ability to design in solid modeling software a plus

     

    - Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
