At BAE Systems, we re shaping the future of electronic warfare. Join our Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area in Hudson, NH to support the Compass Call program, one of the most strategic efforts in U.S. Air Force electronic attack as we expand our capabilities to support growing global demand for advanced electronic warfare systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll develop advanced mission software that disrupts adversary radar and communication networks, with applications spanning both domestic operations and international customers.
This role is ideal for a mid-career engineer ready to take ownership of complex technical challenges. You ll work with modern C and C# in secure Linux environments, contribute to real-time mission software, and collaborate closely with systems and test teams. Along the way, you ll mentor junior engineers and help strengthen our technical bench for future mission success.
What You ll Do
+ Design and implement object-oriented software solutions for mission-critical applications.
+ Support system integration and verification, ensuring performance across multiple baselines.
+ Contribute to the development of advanced processing frameworks and real-time mission planning tools.
+ Apply Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, using CI/CD pipelines and modern collaboration tools.
+ Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex software issues.
+ Collaborate with Systems, and Test engineers to solve cross-disciplinary technical challenges.
+ Adapt mission software for foreign military sales programs (e.g., Italy).

This is a full-time, onsite role at our Hudson, NH facility, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on one of BAE Systems' most strategic defense programs, with opportunities to shape the future of electronic warfare capabilities for the US and its allies.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Active Secret clearance.
+ Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
+ 4 years of professional software development experience.
+ Proficiency in object-oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C , C, C#, or Java.
+ Experience developing in Linux environments.
+ Hands-on experience with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Active Top Secret Clearance
+ CompTIA Security Certification
+ Knowledge of real-time embedded systems, signal processing, SDRs, or RF communications
+ Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
+ Experience with software verification, validation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
