    Our Quality teams are the best at what they do and help us ensure the integrity and reliability of some of our most important products. Right now, we are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Kingsport, Tennessee. This is a people leadership position in which you will be charged to oversee a team of 5 and the following areas:

    Document Control

    + Ensure document control and document retention processes are compliant with ISO standards, OSHA standards, and corporate policy

    + Enforce Document Control and Record Retention procedures

    + Generate Document Control metrics

    + Publish new and revisions of documents

    + Maintain the Document Control database and Document Control System

    + Maintain the Record Retention database

    + Review documents prior to issuance to ensure compliance to internal procedures

    + Lead audits of the document control and document retention processes.

    + Lead projects to improve the document control and document retention program

    Configuration Management

    + Maintain the label program

    + Enter DOT and labeling information for item numbers

    + Assign interfix numbers

    + Assign lot numbers

    + Maintain user accounts

    + Troubleshoot label program issues

    Product Return Database

    + Work with Sales and Quality to generate return forms

    + Generate reports for inbound explosives

    Quotes/Orders:

    + Approve all quotes and orders, ensuring proper product/item number is selected based on the customer s request

    Raw Materials & Calibrations:

    + Manage personnel supporting Raw Materials, FOD testing, Cyanide testing, Calibration Program, Raw Material ASMs, File Sample/Burning Ground Program

    + Assure that analytical testing turnaround times meet production demands by allocating employee workload

    + Ensure all analytical testing results are accurate to both written quality standards and analytical laboratory best practices, documented correctly and entered into the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)

    + Review of ASM (Analytical Standard Method) based on best practices to ensure the accuracy of the procedure with analytical laboratory practices

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years related work experience

    + Working knowledge in quality processes, procedures, and requirements

    + Experience performing root cause analysis investigations

    + Excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills

    + Highly effective communication written and verbal skills

    + Ability to communicate information and data via presentations

    + Computer literacy in MS Office and industry-related software

    + Leadership experience to manage a team of five

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Masters and 4 years related work experience

    + One of the following: ASQ Certification as a Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, company-sponsored Quality Certification, or demonstration of skills through past performance

    + High proficiency in Quality tools and principles

    + DoD industry experience

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $81336 - $138271

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
