    Entity: Clinical Care Associates (CCA) - Penn Primary Care (PPC) and Penn Specialty Practices (PSP) of Penn Medicine Medical Group (PMMG)

     

    Department: Penn Medicine HealthWorks - UNITE HERE HEALTH

     

    Hours: Per Departmental Needs – Full Time

     

    We service the community by partnering with local employers to provide employees access to a network of primary care practices. We are modeled after Concierge Medicine and go above and beyond to provide the highest level of customer service and care to our patients. The member's experience at HealthWorks is extremely convenient and accessible, with our locations being onsite or near site to the employer, and membership based. Limited provider panel sizes allow HealthWorks providers and clinical support staff to provide relationship-based care with extended appointment times and same day/next day access.

     

    This position is for a practice based in Atlantic City, NJ that provides care exclusively employees of the local casinos in partnership with Unite Here Health

    Summary:

    + The Licensed Practical Nurse assists physicians and performs healthcare services to patients in hospitals, private homes, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Monitors and charts patients, collects sample, and performs other tasks as assigned, all under the direction of registered nurses and doctors.

    Responsibilities:

    + Administers prescribed medications, gives injections and vaccines, reads PPD results.

    + Performs electrocardiograms (EKG) and screening tests.

    + Obtains and tests specimens following standard operating procedures and documents results, taking appropriate action with unexpected results. Prepares specimens for transport as necessary.

    + Triages patient telephone encounters and includes provider when necessary.

    + Assists provider with surgical procedures including positioning patients, keeping a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing.

    + Prepares paperwork to complete patient visit.

    + Obtains and documents patient's vital signs as needed and reports abnormal results to provider.

    + Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and checks to make sure all instruments and equipment are in proper working order.

    + Maintains medication storage closets.

    + Participates in orienting new team members.

    Credentials:

    + Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support- BLS (Required)

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

    + 1+ years Outpatient experience (Preferred)

    + Bi-lingual (Required)

    Salary Range:

    $21.69 - $34.05/Hourly
