Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural** **hospital located** **in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization

+ Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period

+ Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care

+ Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

+ Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems

+ IA RN license or compact state

+ BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire

+ New grads encouraged to apply - Nurse Residency Program upon hire!

Schedule:

+ **Weekend Package Incentive Pay Included!** Choose with or without benefits: With benefits: Pay is 10% higher than base pay or without benefits: Pay is 33% higher than base pay

+ Fri-Sat-Sun, 7-7

+ 42 out of 52 weekends

+ 10 weekends off per year but may work additional during the week and weekends if there is a need

+ **Work 72 hours a pay period and be paid 80 hours a pay period = 208 hours per year at your hourly rate**

+ The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
