What You’ll Do

+ Lead engineering and design reviews, ensuring our solutions are secure, resilient, and ready for tomorrow’s challenges.
+ Architect and develop advanced data security tools, collaborating with talented engineers and cross-functional partners.
+ Champion compliance and best practices, working closely with Information Security to uphold the highest standards.
+ Write and configure code, implement telemetry, and embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle.
+ Advise teams on risk management and engineering improvements, helping us stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
+ Own the software development lifecycle, from coding and testing to deployment and monitoring.
+ Explore and integrate AI/ML technologies, driving innovation while maintaining a strong security posture.
+ Mentor and inspire your teammates, fostering a culture of learning, excellence, and trust.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to turn complex challenges into secure, actionable solutions that drive real business impact.

Engineering Execution:
Delivers platform capabilities within a sub-organization or technical area, including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks (for example, CI/CD, SDKs, model runtimes, feature stores).
Aligns development efforts with roadmap milestones and domain priorities to ensure cohesive execution.
Applies cloud-native architecture principles (for example, microservices, containers, automation) to achieve scalability, resilience, and agility across systems.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
