    This is a position that is split between normal daily carpentry and field supervision. It is a great job for learning and is a stepping stone to a bags on superintendent or assistant project manager position. Small Projects primarily deals with smaller carpentry jobs, emergency water losses, and restoration.

     

    You will be working with the Project Manger to complete small projects and restoration jobs in the Seattle area. This will require carpentry and construction knowledge necessary to understand the scope of work and communicate it to other laborers and carpenters. The purpose of this position is to reduce the amount of trips to the site by the project manager, so the ability to work independently is essential.

     

    What Does A Small Projects Carpenters Day Look Like?

     

    Small Projects

     

    + Reviewing the schedule to plan the day

    + Picking up materials for the jobs of the day

    + Meeting with the customer

    + Setting up containment and site protection

    + Doing carpentry, siding, rot repair, cabinet installation, or other miscellaneous construction work

    + Cleaning up for the day or cleaning up to move to the next job

    + Posting daily logs for the Project Manager and Client to review

    + Doing takeoffs and assisting the Project Manager with miscellaneous tasks

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    + +3 years of experience in carpentry or handyman work

    + Excellent time management

    + Excellent communication

    + Valid driver's license

    + Pay Rate: $35-50hr DOE

    + 2 weeks of PTO

    Job Site Locations: North-South Seattle, WA

     

    Schedule: Monday-Friday

     

    + Start Time: 6:00am-9:00am depending on project

    + End Time: 3:00pm- 6:00pm depending on project
