    About the Role:

    CBRE is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of telecommunications facilities, supporting a major telecommunications client. This role requires a dedicated professional located in the Indianapolis, IN area, with the ability to travel to multiple sites within their designated area of operation.

     

    This position is an integral part of the Facilities Management team, focusing on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, and providing support to Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our client's critical infrastructure.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Provide formal supervision to a team of employees, overseeing their training and development. Conduct performance evaluations, offer coaching, and manage the recruitment and hiring of new employees.

    + Schedule and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and implementing cross-training programs. Set and track staff and department deadlines, and provide mentorship and coaching as needed.

    + Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by effectively collaborating with technicians, vendors, and contractors.

    + Cultivate and maintain positive client relationships, conducting regular meetings to address and resolve any facility-related issues.

    + Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.

    + Conduct facility inspections and quality assurance checks, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations. Identify and recommend operational efficiencies, necessary repairs, and opportunities for upgrades.

    + Manage environmental health and safety procedures for all assigned facilities.

    + Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures, reviewing price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.

    + Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices for the team.

    + Lead by example, embodying CBRE RISE values. Influence stakeholders to reach consensus and achieve shared goals.

    + Apply in-depth knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with other disciplines to achieve team and departmental objectives.

    + Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, even those that may not be immediately apparent within existing systems and processes.

    What You’ll Need:

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    + Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to various sites within the Indianapolis, IN area.

    + Facility Management certification is preferred.

    + Demonstrated experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.

    + Ability to effectively communicate sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, clearly convey performance expectations, and handle challenging situations.

    + Proven leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team, impacting the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

    + Exceptional organizational skills combined with a strong inquisitive mindset.

    + Advanced math skills, including the ability to accurately calculate complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
