Job Description
Purpose:
The Senior Technician II, under the management of the AggieFab Laboratory Manager, will be responsible for supervision of the AggieFab technician staff and participation in hands-on equipment and facilities maintenance work, as needed, to ensure prompt installation of new tools and maintenance of the installed base.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintenance and support of fab facilities, utility equipment, and nanofabrication processing equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
+ Solve hardware and software issues for a variety of nanofabrication tooling, including photolithography, reactive ion etching, metrology, thin film deposition, electrical testing, electroplating, chemical mechanical polishing, and dicing saw tool sets.
+ Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance functions and work with OEM field service engineers on more complex equipment interventions.
+ Work with other contractors, engineers, and quality control personnel regarding changes or improvements to the systems.
+ Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleanliness protocols in a Class 100 nanofabrication facility are mandatory.
+ Supervise staff and ensure optimal team performance
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Need:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Five years of related experience
What is Helpful:
+ Bachelor of Science in engineering or technical field.
+ Experience in the semiconductor industry supporting the hands-on maintenance of a variety of toolsets such as thin film deposition, photolithography, metrology, and reactive ion etching tools.
+ Experience supervising the day-to-day activities of a team of technicians.
+ Experience in an academic nanofabrication facility or a semiconductor high-volume manufacturing facility in the equipment and facilities maintenance areas.
+ Experience troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software issues on equipment.
+ Experience with measurement equipment in addition to peripheral equipment, such as vacuum pumps, chillers, and ion gauges.

+ Interpersonal, tactical planning, and strategic planning skills.
+ Ability to increase job knowledge and proficiency with different systems.
+ Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Ability to provide rigorous documentation of processes and procedures, organize workload and workspaces, and work well with AggieFab full-time staff members, external contractors, and undergraduate student workers.
+ Working knowledge of the facilities associated with a Class 100 cleanroom, such as CDA, N2, air handlers, dirty air scrubbers, and fan filter units.
+ Ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment and facilities issues independently and provide a plan for resolution to management.
Other Requirements:
+ May experience prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching; climbing ladders and stairs of various heights; lifting equipment; and be exposed to noisy environments.
