No one day is the same! We are looking for an **Industrial Maintenance Mechanic** for our **Fallon, NV** who enjoys problem solving and is a great trouble-shooter! You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of production units including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, piping systems, working with lifting and rigging, general maintenance on rotational equipment and other duties that may be apart from maintenance duties. This position may require you to work overtime and will be responsible for maintaining company equipment. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow. We supply all tools.

+ Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of equipment.

+ Perform maintenance which follows the manufacturer guidelines for service times and inspections.

+ Assist the supervisor and management with documentation best practices

+ Provide insight and offer suggestions to assist supervisor and management with implementation and revision of any required training documents.

+ Respond to operations service phone calls and discuss maintenance and repair with Lead and Maintenance Manager, as required, to ensure seamless communication to keep management up to date on any issues.

+ Ensure expected completion timelines for various repairs are met and that equipment is repaired and sent out in a timely manner.

+ Ensure continuous communication with the maintenance lead and management to ensure priorities are set and deadlines are met in addition to assisting in the compilation of a formal priority list.

+ Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork such as Work Orders, Inspections, and Inventory Sheets.

+ Provide support to the Maintenance lead and Manager to track inventory and maintain cost controls monthly.

+ Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times, reporting all hazards and near misses as appropriate.

+ Monitor all equipment to ensure it is in working condition or if it needs repair for operational or safety reasons.

What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company?

+ High School or equivalent, higher education is a plus!

+ 3-5+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment.

+ Plant maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Preventative maintenance, Welding, Installations, Pipefitting, Hydraulics systems, distillation column repair and Pumps experience (piston, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps an asset)

+ Must be a trouble-shooter and problem solver!

+ Communicate well with all levels of the organization

+ Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects, and must be able to lift to 50lbs

+ Ability to be on call
