    Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and reconciliation functions. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Accountant

    **Pay Range:** $80,000 - $90,000

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    + Identify and resolve errors, omissions, and irregularities in financial records.

    + Assist with the development of accounting procedures and promote departmental efficiency.

    + Lead and support month-end closing processes, including preparing regulatory and internal reports.

    + Manage fixed asset records, including depreciation and audit schedules, ensuring compliance with policies and IRS guidelines.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 3 years of related experience or 7 years of experience in a financial institution.

    + Strong knowledge of accounting principles and transaction flows affecting the general ledger.

    + Proficiency with advanced Excel functions and experience with accounting systems such as Prologue Frontier.

    + Experience managing property and asset accounting, including reconciling fixed asset registers.

    + Ability to analyze accounts, resolve discrepancies, and develop efficient procedures independently.
