Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Analyst to join our team for the 2nd Shift. This role involves working Monday to Thursday, with four 10-hour shifts from 11:00am to 9:30pm. Shift premium is provided and schedule flexibility is required. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st Shift. Responsibilities
+ Perform a variety of micro testing on finished products, raw materials, and components.
+ Conduct environmental monitoring in areas with varying aseptic classification.
+ Perform data entry and prepare various reports.
+ Execute validation testing, annual testing, and special projects as required or requested.
+ Maintain and order supplies in assigned areas.
+ Sample raw materials.
+ Conduct daily WFI testing.
+ Perform laboratory maintenance and monitor temperature charts.
+ Promote a safe and harmonious work environment.
+ Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
+ Assist with special projects as required or requested.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in science or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ 1-3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting.
+ Knowledge of contemporary laboratory practices and procedures.
+ Proficiency in operating specialized equipment such as laboratory balances and various instrumentation.
+ Familiarity with general computer functions, including Microsoft Office programs and spreadsheets.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks within a given timeframe.
+ Advanced problem-solving safety sensitivity.
+ Time management skills for personal tasks and those of others.
+ Critical thinking capabilities.
+ Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external information and processes.
+ Adherence to personal hygiene standards/procedures according to SOP.

Work Environment
The work environment requires the ability to read reports and use a computer 75-100% of the time. Hearing is essential to communicate with coworkers. Standing, walking, and mobility are necessary for 75-100% of the time to operate office equipment and attend meetings. Climbing, stooping, or kneeling is needed for 50-74% of the time to perform routine tasks. Lifting up to 50 lbs., pulling, and pushing are required 25-49% of the time. Writing, typing, and handling material and equipment are required 75-100% of the time.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $24.50/hr.
