My client, a leading general contractor with a strong presence across Hawaiʻi, is hiring a Project Engineer (Commercial – Maui) to support the delivery of complex commercial projects, including hospitality, mixed-use, healthcare, and retail developments. This position offers the opportunity to live and work on Maui while contributing to projects that directly support the island’s growth and community needs.
What You’ll Do
+ Review and process submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs across architectural, structural, and MEP scopes.
+ Provide daily engineering support to superintendents and project managers on active construction sites.
+ Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to maintain schedule and resolve issues.
+ Track project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, identifying risks and supporting recovery efforts.
+ Support procurement and logistics, ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time.
+ Maintain quality control documentation, testing reports, and inspection records.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards, permitting, and company procedures.
+ Work directly with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to keep projects aligned with design intent and budgets.

What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
+ 3–6 years of construction experience, ideally with commercial or vertical building projects.
+ Strong familiarity with scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
+ Prior Hawaiʻi construction experience highly valued; Maui-based candidates preferred.
