Job Title: Construction Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will organize and oversee construction procedures, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time. This role requires an analytical mind and exceptional organizational skills to manage a team of professionals across different disciplines. The goal is to deliver all projects on schedule, within budget, and according to requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Determine and define the scope of work and deliverables.
+ Predict resources needed to complete projects.
+ Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.
+ Draft and submit budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements.
+ Manage costs to adhere to budget constraints.
+ Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts.
+ Manage construction schedules and activities.
+ Issue progress updates regarding costs and timelines as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
+ Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
+ Coordinate efforts across the entire project among architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, particularly in renovation projects such as MTF, MTF amenity/clubhouses, retail, restaurants, and metal buildings.
+ Proficiency in project management, construction management, and project coordination.
+ Familiarity with ProCore, MS Project, Sage, or similar software for scheduling and forecasting.
+ Ability to handle RFIs and change orders.
+ Strong understanding of commercial construction, design, mechanical, and site development.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or in the process of obtaining a degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
+ 5-7 years of experience in construction project management.
+ Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
+ Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
+ High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
+ Strong leadership and management skills.
Work Environment
The Project Manager will primarily work in the office with site visits as required for meetings. The company is experiencing growth, with current revenue at $12 million per year and plans to double annually, offering opportunities for advancement into senior project management and leadership roles.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
