Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate tax provisions, and supporting audit processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to contribute to a dynamic environment within the service industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax provisions to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Compile and analyze workpapers to support timely and accurate tax return submissions.

• Address tax notices and communicate effectively with authorities to resolve issues.

• Manage compliance with sales tax regulations, including preparation and submission of returns.

• Support audit processes by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align on tax strategies and reporting objectives.

• Stay informed about federal, state, and local tax regulations to maintain compliance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and update documentation to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certifications such as CPA preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance, provisions, tax returns, and audits.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external authorities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
