Quality Control Technician
Job Description
Perform laboratory testing and related quality control activities using a variety of instruments to ensure compliance with applicable SOPs and cGMPs. Provide timely testing and notification of any aberrant occurrence to management that may impact manufactured or marketed products.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and adherence to Safety/Quality guidelines and SOPs.
+ Maintain the department, premises, and equipment.
+ Complete necessary training to perform all assigned tasks confidently and consistently.
+ Perform work in compliance with site safety and radiation protection guidelines.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of quality tasks.
+ Attend mandatory training sessions as required by site regulatory requirements and management.
+ Assist with investigations by providing testing results and communication of practices.
+ Participate in the training and development of employees.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in chemistry, laboratory, biology, and biochemistry.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals and priorities.
+ Flexibility and teamwork skills.
+ High level of energy and consistent attendance.
+ Ability to lift 70 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and climb stairs with or without accommodation.
+ Experience with wet chemistry and various analytical instruments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 years of college-level science or an Associate Degree in Science. Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred.
+ Exposure to laboratory instruments such as Analytical Balance, pH meter, automatic pipettes, FTIR, UV-Vis, Voltammeter, HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Flame AA, TOC, and Conductivity meter.
Work Environment
Work schedule is Saturday to Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The role involves working in a plant that produces radioactive materials, requiring participation in safety programs to minimize exposure risks. Responsibilities include physical tasks such as lifting 70 pounds and wearing a variety of personal protective equipment. The position offers a shift differential upon conversion and includes holiday pay. The schedule follows a '4 10's' format, providing a longer break in the week. The role offers opportunities to learn various standard instrumentation and methods in a pharmaceutical QC Lab and use unique instrumentation specific to radioactive materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
