Job Title: Electrical Equipment Tester Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Equipment Tester with experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment. This role involves testing 600-volt battery backup enclosures to ensure functionality and durability while troubleshooting any issues that arise. There is a potential opportunity to transition into a level 2 role with PLC and automation skills.

Responsibilities

+ Test 600-volt batteries for functionality and durability.

+ Troubleshoot issues with battery backup enclosures.

+ Build electrical panels, including setting up and wiring.

+ Perform electrical testing on panels, with training provided if necessary.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics.

+ Collaborate with senior controls technicians and engineers for oversight.

+ Engage in PLC editing and modification, if experienced.

+ Participate in panel design, if experienced.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in building electrical panels.

+ Knowledge of electrical, electronics, and controls.

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Good communication skills for documenting and reporting findings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with PLC programming and automation.

+ Background in panel design is a plus.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The position is located in a new facility with a clean and great culture. There is access to a gym on-site. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
