Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a key contributor to driving manufacturing initiatives within the organization. This role involves problem-solving, change management, resource allocation, design, and project management. The engineer will be responsible for managing projects, developing procedures, and providing guidance to maintenance teams, technicians, and Tool/Die specialists. The position requires both floor implementation and office-based project planning.
Responsibilities
+ Drive manufacturing initiatives and manage projects.
+ Develop and implement procedures for maintenance and production support.
+ Provide guidance to technicians and Tool/Die specialists.
+ Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the designated area.
+ Spend 60% of time on floor implementation and addressing immediate issues.
+ Allocate 40% of time for office-based project planning.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.
+ 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, project management, or equipment handling.
+ Ability to develop project plans and manage timelines.
+ Previous experience in the automotive industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) or similar work measurement systems.
+ Experience in 3D design.
Work Environment
The work environment is within a large manufacturing facility that produces sheet metal shelving units. The building is older with some older equipment, and it can be quite noisy due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Engineers will primarily be on the production floor, collaborating with production support and working on various projects. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
