    Description

    Our client in North County San Diego is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their growing finance team. This role is well-suited for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to build a strong foundation in general ledger work, reconciliations, and reporting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with month-end close, preparing journal entries, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. It’s a great opportunity for someone with a degree in Accounting or Finance who is ready to expand their technical skills and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.

    + Perform reconciliations of accounts, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.

    + Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.

    + Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

    + Support audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.

    + Help maintain compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls.

    + Partner with other departments to ensure accurate coding and reporting of transactions.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).

    + 1–3 years of general accounting experience preferred; internships considered.

    + Familiarity with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

    + Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
