    Job Title: Project Manager Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee the completion of internal capital projects, ranging from $25k to millions. This role requires a balance of on-site presence and office-based strategic planning to ensure successful project execution. You will work under the guidance of the engineering manager, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to manage technical issues, coordinate logistics, and ensure projects meet customer needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and oversee the completion of internal capital projects.

    + Spend 50% of time at the plant and 50% in the office.

    + Meet with stakeholders to outline and scope projects.

    + Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and performance objectives.

    + Guide external resources for equipment and system designs.

    + Prepare RFQs and obtain competitive bids for project funding.

    + Analyze and recommend bids, developing project budgets.

    + Coordinate onsite contractors for safe and efficient project execution.

    + Collaborate with plant maintenance and operations teams.

    + Mitigate roadblocks and communicate effectively to ensure project completion.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of strong project management experience.

    + Industrial plant experience in chemical, oil, pulp & paper, or steel industries.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Projects, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).

    + Self-motivated with a detail-oriented approach.

    + Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external resources.

    + Experience with capital equipment and heavy industrial environments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Project management expertise with capital equipment.

    + Background in mechanical, electrical engineering, and project planning.

    + Proficiency in CAD software and design review.

    + OSHA 30 safety training certification.

    + Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and tools.

    Work Environment

    The role involves a balance of 50% on the manufacturing floor, working with various teams, and 50% in the office, reviewing drawings and communicating with vendors. The environment offers a diverse workload extending over 4-5 years, with ongoing equipment upgrades and fulfilling customer work.     This is a Contract position based out of Albany, Oregon.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $55.00/hr.
