Description
As a Courier, you will:
+ **Safety Compliance:** Operate vehicles in strict adherence to HSSE policies and procedures.
+ **Vehicle Inspections:** Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues immediately.
+ **Cargo Security:** Ensure freight is properly secured in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ **Driving Operations:** Safely operate sub-CDL vehicles in different environments to deliver customer freight.
+ **Warehouse Pickup:** Collect orders from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery.
+ **Task Prioritization:** Complete day-to-day activities based on customer needs and urgency.
+ **Dock Assistance:** Assist on the dock and with two-person deliveries when required.
+ **Housekeeping:** Maintain clean and organized workspaces, ensuring proper care of materials.
+ **Event Recorder Maintenance:** Monitor and maintain rear-facing event recorders.
+ **Tablet Management:** Update tablet records based on delivery and pickup orders.
+ **Dispatcher Communication:** Maintain communication with the terminal dispatcher and warehouse to receive delivery instructions.
+ **Log Maintenance:** Accurately maintain courier stop-logs and jockey sheets.
+ **Customer Interaction:** Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
+ **Roadside Repairs:** Perform basic emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
+ **Additional Duties:** Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
• 21 years of age
• Valid Class D driver's license
• Valid Medical Card or ability to obtain a valid Medical Card
• One to two years of driving experience as a Courier preferred
• Previous material handling, HAZMAT, and forklift experience preferred
