    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will work on the 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. This role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial production equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial production equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and automation systems.

    + Work with control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, PLCs, palletizers, box makers, and refiners.

    + Support operators with setups, adjustments, and changeovers.

    + Conduct equipment rebuilds, welding, and fabrication as needed.

    + Maintain accurate documentation in the CMMS and communicate issues across teams.

    + Follow GMP, HACCP, and sanitation protocols.

    + Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.

    + Participate in required safety and technical training.

    + Work in high-temperature environments (100–120°F) and around strong odors.

    + Lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a production setting (food or beverage preferred).

    + Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems (480V), automation, and mechanical components.

    + Experience using CMMS and maintenance inventory systems.

    + Ability to read manuals, schematics, and line diagrams.

    + High attention to detail and safety awareness.

    + Diploma or GED required.

    + Self-motivated with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

    + Comfortable working with compressors, water heaters (no boilers), air lines, and 3-phase motors.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with VFDs, conveyors, and food production equipment.

    + Knowledge of preventative maintenance, fabrication, and welding.

    + Familiarity with GMP compliance and HACCP protocols.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility operates 24/7 and is equipped with large industrial machines. The environment can be hot, ranging from 100–120°F. Mechanics have access to a dedicated shop with workbenches and welding equipment. All tools are provided, and the use of computers is essential for managing work orders. A strict dress code is enforced, prohibiting jewelry, fake lashes, fake nails, heavy scents, nuts, and glass in the facility. Uniforms and lockers are provided. New hires will undergo a minimum of 30 days of training on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
