Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with experience in operating mills and lathes. This role involves setting up machines, performing changeovers, and adjusting tooling. The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to start machines, position and secure workpieces, and perform minor repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Start machines, position and secure workpieces and tooling.

+ Run machines and perform minor repairs.

+ Conduct minor preventative maintenance.

+ Detect, contain, and resolve defects.

+ Perform offsets, deburring, and changeovers.

+ Utilize blueprints and basic hand tools.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating CNC machines, mills, and lathes.

+ Ability to perform machine setups and tooling changes.

+ Experience with G code and M code.

+ Familiarity with CAD and CAD/CAM software.

+ Knowledge of preventive maintenance and blueprint usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with production CNC, schematics, and packaging.

+ Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

+ Familiarity with conversational programming, 5S, and Six Sigma principles.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, very clean, and highly automated environment. The position is for the 1st shift, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with opportunities for permanent hire after six months.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
