About this Role

A Substation Foundation Foreman at Irby Construction Company must have

- Minimum of 2 years’ substation foundation experience required.

- Substation construction equipment operation experience.

- In-depth knowledge of OSHA codes and standards, especially for equipment operation.

What You'll Do

+ Work includes greenfield and remodel substation construction.

+ Tasks: foundation drilling, digging, installation, rebar cage tying/setting, form construction, concrete pouring/finishing, trenching, backfilling, compacting. Structural steel and equipment installation, cable pulling, and finish stone placement.

+ Equipment: excavators (mini to large), auger heads (up to 36” diameter), compactors, trenchers, skidsteers, air spade, plate/trench compactors, lulls, man lifts (45’–120’), cranes (up to 60 ton), Broderson, crawler cranes, boom trucks, bucket trucks, digger derrick trucks.

What You'll Bring

+ Must adhere to company safety and health policies.

+ Valid driver’s license required.

+ Willingness to travel and stay out of town; typical work weeks are 4x10 or 5x10 hour shifts.

+ Must be available for overtime and extended work periods.

+ May participate in storm restoration operations.

+ May attend training for new processes and safety regulations.

+ Must be able to walk/work on uneven terrain, climb on/off trucks/equipment, work outside 100% of the time (in all weather), lift over 50 lbs daily, work at heights (20’–60’, up to 120’), work around energized systems, and assist with other activities as needed.
