Underwriting Associate – Pittston, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Remote Days: Monday, Thursday, Friday

In-Office Days: Tuesday, Wednesday

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriting Associate to join our team in Pittston, PA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in a supportive environment while contributing to the growth of our small business insurance segment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review and analyze insurance applications for accuracy and completeness

+ Assist in evaluating risk exposures and determining appropriate coverage and pricing

+ Ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and regulatory requirements

+ Communicate with agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders to clarify application details

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation in underwriting systems

+ Support Sr. underwriters in complex case reviews and decision-making

+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree (any field) – Required

+ 1–3 years of experience in insurance underwriting or a related role – Preferred

+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

+ High attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting software platforms

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $55660.00/yr.
