Job Description

TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire, along with a full benefits package.

•️ Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment

• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues

• Configure and program telecom devices and systems

• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless connectivity

• Provide technical support to end-users

• Maintain accurate records of inventory and service activity

• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)

• Proven experience in telecommunications or related field

• Knowledge of routers, switches, cabling, and telecom systems

• Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently and in teams

• Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
