Job Description

Mount Sinai Solutions (MSS) is a unique business unit within Mount Sinai created to assemble Mount Sinai's clinical and population health assets into product offerings (e.g., care bundles, worksite health centers, navigation) and sell the product offerings to individuals, plan sponsors or companies via multiple channels (e.g., direct to employer, strategic partnerships). MSS is a strategically important business unit within Mount Sinai and is looking for team members who:

Mount Sinai Solutions seeks a Senior Manager who will support the development of these new models. The Product Senior Manager will “productize” our specialty care, population health, and customer service assets into health care service offerings that offer the best customer value in the market. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1) Strategic Market assessment, 2) Health care data analytics 3) Product pricing and forecasting, 4) Patient journey mapping, 5) Clinical model research, 6) Reporting and performance monitoring.
The Product Senior Manager is a highly visible role that will build product growth strategies and have significant opportunities to engage with senior leadership across the Mount Sinai Health System. The Senior Manager will also interface with key stakeholders from across the local, regional, and national healthcare market. They will own the end-to-end process from developing a strategy and business plan to the initial execution and ongoing management of business opportunities, including external partnerships where relevant.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
? Bachelor?s Degree required; Master?s in related field preferred
? Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the health care industry
? Experience with leading strategy & management consulting firm(s), benefits consulting firm(s), and/or payer(s) a plus
? Experience developing market research and business cases for new strategies or products
? Experience in a fast paced, corporate environment a plus
? Strong communication and presentation skills
Additional Skills and Qualities
? Expertise in quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel required; Other quantitative applications a plus
? Experience with SQL, R, Python and/or Tableau to analyze large data sets is a plus
? Expertise in using Microsoft PowerPoint in developing presentations
? Self-motivated team player
? Passion for health care as evidenced by academic or personal pursuits and professional experience

Responsibilities
Product Commercialization Strategy
• Develop product strategies including leading activities related to commercializing our products such as pricing, selling and marketing, and partnering with operational teams to support a governance process for customer pricing and contracting. Develop forecasts of product costs (fixed and variable) to recommend pricing structures that achieve financial objectives. Analyze the benefits of partnering with payers, benefit consultants and other third parties for selling the products vs. the cost of building a direct sales force.
Product Strategy Development
• Lead the development of new products and product features, reducing high-level ideas to product designs, use cases, and requirements. Partner with technology, operations, clinical, and customers teams throughout MSHP and Mount Sinai Health system to develop the products on budget and on time.
Product Performance Management
• Lead the monitoring of product performance via measuring and analyzing of key outcome metrics during product pilots and general usage, developing information-driven recommendations for new product features, solutions for product challenges, and opportunities for product re-positioning. Own designated area of the product P&L, including monitoring trends and developing evidence-based solutions to anomalies. Share regular updates with manager and leadership on product performance and recommendations for improvement and seek guidance where needed.
Product Business Cases
• Analyze market intelligence to develop and continuously update business cases for each product category. Each case will include a financial forecast of revenue and contribution margin from product sales and operations and recommend actions including: sizing investments required for and viability of new product launches, prioritizing product investment decisions, and build/buy/partner decisions.
Market Intelligence Research
• Lead the re-positioning of existing products and the identification of new product opportunities via thorough ongoing first and third party research of the addressable market, competitor offerings, and government regulations. Such research will include analysis of third-party data obtained from, customers and from paid subscription sources. Data obtained from these sources will be quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed, leveraging software for data mining and storage, to size and characterize customer needs, competitor strengths and weakness to identify and quantify risks and opportunities. Manage and disseminate relevant market intelligence to the broader Mount Sinai Solutions team.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115494 - $160000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
