Job Title: Supervisor, FacilitiesDepartment: Facilities Location: Unity Hospital and St. Mary's Campus Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3pm, on call requirementSUMMARY: Plan, Prioritize, Coordinates, schedules, and performs equipment/system installations/repairs and oversees all work performed by Facilities staff. Work involves assigning service and preventive/predictive maintenance tasks to Facilities department staff, self and contractors as necessary to complete work on schedule. Responsible for responsibilities for staff which include interviewing of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, resolution of employee concerns, disciplinary counseling, terminations and employee morale. Possess knowledge in all trades to effectively communicate with staff and customers. Provide direction and training for facilities staff as needed to accomplish tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Plan, coordinate, schedule and oversee Facilities work utilizing maintenance work request system and other leadership tools to ensure that all work is completed in a professional manner according to specifications, procedure and department schedules.
+ Supervises and coordinates the day to day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and associated equipment.
+ Responsible for ongoing staff development.
+ Establishes an internal and on-going cross training program to ensure that staff has appropriate knowledge and resources to perform their work effectively and to appropriately handle on-call functions for the department.
+ Mentors staff on a continuous basis to promote continual growth and development.
+ Utilize building automated control systems to effectively manage systems/equipment to achieve peak performance and maintain compliance with all required health care regulations and standards.
+ Utilize and execute computerized software systems/programs with proficiencies to monitor, trend and create necessary spreadsheets/reports as required.
+ May perform service and maintenance work in any of the trade fields to keep jobs on schedule and to support other staff when necessary to achieve positive customer outcomes.
+ Has the ability to layout special projects as necessary to provide direction for other technical staff.
+ Provides troubleshooting support for all trade fields as needed for their successful completion of work assignments.
+ Has the knowledge and ability to operate specialized tools and equipment when needed.
+ Has the knowledge and ability to read, interpret and utilize plans, schematic drawings, line diagrams, specifications, operational manuals and work orders to determine work requirements and actions needed to successfully complete tasks.
+ Has the knowledge and ability to interpret codes and other regulations as necessary to make effective decisions that result in compliant task outcomes.
+ Utilizes advanced mechanical skills and knowledge to train other staff in accomplishing successful task outcomes.
+ Manage and oversee contractor work activities as necessary to complete tasks and as assigned by leadership.
+ Coordinate utility/equipment shutdowns as necessary to complete tasks/projects.
+ Ensures that all contractor staff follows codes and our health system policies and procedures on a fair and consistent basis. Monitor and document contractors work activities / or service to ensure specifications are met.
+ Prioritizes, schedules, and follows up on all assigned projects. Coordinate and communicates task schedules and projected costs with leaders and customers.
+ Develop task specifications and update preventative/predictive maintenance procedures whenever new equipment is purchased or changes are made to current equipment or systems.
+ Implements and document risk assessments, ISM's, ICRA, PICRA safety plans, lockout tag-out, confined space, MSDS and all other regulatory programs to assure that Facilities and staff maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies such as CMS, JCAHO, DOH, OSHA, etc.
+ Report all unsafe conditions to leadership.
+ Documents all work performed and all training received (or given).
+ Communicates with all departmental / interdepartmental staff as required.
+ Attends meetings and in-services as scheduled.
+ Keeps all logs current. Maintains expense budgets within established guidelines.
+ Requisitions supplies and materials by following purchasing and department specific procedures.
+ Keep records of work and makes reports.
+ Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Healthcare experience preferred.
+ College Associates degree preferred.
+ Exceptional interpersonal relation skills.
+ Diverse knowledge of Facilities related trades.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Proficient in computer software programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
