_About the role_

As a **Senior Playwright Automation QA** , you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks for UI and API testing using **_Playwright_** . You will be a valued member of the **Quality Engineering and Assurance** team and work collaboratively with **onshore and offshore teams, business stakeholders, and technical leads** to ensure high-quality software delivery.

_In this role, you will:_

+ Develop automation frameworks for UI and API testing from scratch using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and Cucumber BDD.

+ Set up CI/CD pipelines and integrate manual scripts into automated workflows.

+ Lead functional, regression, and automation testing efforts across projects.

+ Host business walkthroughs to review test artifacts and coordinate with offshore teams.

+ Guide offshore teams on technical issues related to automation frameworks and processes.

+ Participate in requirement sessions and technical design reviews.

+ Provide daily status updates, issue tracking, and roadblock reporting to stakeholders.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a **hybrid position** requiring **2–3 days a week** in a client or Cognizant office in **Richardson, TX** . _What you need to have to be considered_

+ 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including leading QA efforts in an onshore/offshore model.

+ Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

+ Ability to perform Automation, Functional and Regression Testing.

+ Proven experience in manual and automated testing.

+ Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch for UI and API using Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Cucumber BDD.

+ Experience with API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI.

+ Expertise in setting up CI/CD integrations from scratch.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

+ Experience in the healthcare PBM domain.

+ Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.

+ Exposure to B2C authentication mechanisms.

+ Ability to drive technical discussions and mentor offshore teams.

+ Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.
