    Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

    Compensation

     

    Starting pay is $21/hr + annual merit and bonus eligibility, PTO, 401k matching and more!

     

    Schedule

     

    Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm (overtime as needed)

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Receive and store samples efficiently.

    + Use an inventory management system for data entry, sample tracking, and management of samples.

    + Coordinate and prioritize workload to ensure quality-minded, accurate operations.

    + Pull samples and confirm accuracy for outgoing shipments.

    + Prepare outbound shipments for timely dispatch.

    + Work closely with managers to support customer inquiries, discrepancies, inventory maintenance, and database updates.

    + Maintain files for validation of data and prepare reports of information and sample data.

    + Participate in process improvement and safety focused activities.

    + Handle and inventory specimens at various temperatures, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines.

    Job Requirements:

    + **Minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent experience.**

    + **Previous repository/laboratory experience required.**

    + Proven track record to prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.

    + Expertise in handling, processing, and storing specimens using a computerized system.

    + Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly and stand for the entirety of the shift.

    + Excellent communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.

    + Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Strong critical thinking and strategic prioritization skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Outstanding organizational abilities to successfully implement tasks.

    + Knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory, and quality assurance/control.

    + IATA Dangerous Goods Training for Class 6.2 Shipping.

    + Blood Borne Pathogens Training.

    Work Conditions/Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to work in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, and hazardous agents.

    + Must use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.

    + Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs.

    + Must handle materials frozen on dry ice (-78°C) or liquid nitrogen (-196°C) for up to 6 hours per day.

    + Must use a computer for up to 6 hours per day.

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $15.85–$23.77.
