    Purpose of Position:

    Sportsman’s Warehouse is seeking a self-motivated and independent Internal IT Audit professional who is eager to grow and advance their career. As an Internal IT Auditor, you will report directly to the Internal Audit Manager and play a key role in conducting IT risk assessments and control testing to support management’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Conduct IT process walkthroughs & interviews with management to support the internal SOX design assessments.

    + Assess managements IT system & design, and effectively assess & communicate design deficiencies with management.

    + Perform IT SOX testing over all in-scope IT systems & controls in accordance with the audit plan.

    + Clearly document audit testing procedures and final conclusions in line with the audit plan and standards.

    + Identify, assess, and communicate IT control deficiencies to management effectively.

    + Assist management with remediation plans and execute remediation control testing.

    + Maintain a productive relationship with external auditors and provide regular IT status updates.

    + Foster strong working relationships with IT and business stakeholders across the organization.

    + Provide updates on IT-related projects, system changes, or environmental shifts that may impact internal controls.

    + Assist the Internal Audit Manager with drafting internal audit reports and other internal/external communications.

    + Assist with operational audits and other audit projects involving IT.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Background in public accounting with a focus on IT Audit preferred.

    + Experience with ERP, POS, & eCommerce systems preferred.

    + Experience with report writing tools preferred.

    + Ability to manage and work on various projects at the same time.

    + Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

    + Organized and ability to prioritize.

    + Ability to clearly communicate with management and external resources.

    Education/Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Information Systems, Accounting, or related field

    + Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Audit with an emphasis in information system audits.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    CPA, CISA, or CIA preferred

    + This position is considered sedentary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop kneel to install/move computer equipment

    + The employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)

    Travel Requirements:

    This position requires some travel, up to 5%.
