Special Education Teacher

Work Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality educational services to students in grades K–12 with special needs. This role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial assistance, and consulting with general education staff to support inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

+ Provide direct instruction tailored to student needs

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

+ Monitor and document student progress

+ Participate in team meetings and professional development

+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations

+ Utilize ED Plan and other district platforms for documentation and planning
