• Stream Center Producer

    WFLA News Channel 8 is looking for a do-it-all producer to be a key member of our highly-specialized Stream Center team. The Stream Center Producer is tasked with a variety of duties including producing, directing, editing, and posting of video content. The role will help manage CTV video distribution and programming for our 24/7 streaming app.

    Responsibilities:

    + Producing, directing, editing, and posting of Stream Center video content via OBS Studio

    + Assist in CTV video distribution, including live-hosted video in both unedited and breaking news formats

    + Help gather information, b-roll, and visual elements for a successful OBS stream

    + Interest in/willingness to learn and understand successful IT and engineering setups for livestreaming

    + Desire to experiment and innovate in an evolving digital space while maintaining professionalism and journalistic principles

    + Basic understanding of camera settings, studio lighting, and audio processing

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

    + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work well with team members

    + Proficiency with social media and the understanding of digital content creation

    + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
