    Job Description

    You will be responsible for formulating system scope and objectives, gathering requirements, convert business requirements into technical requirements based on the architecture and ETL guidelines. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, validating and documenting business requirements for assigned projects to ensure the maximization of operational efficiency, and ensuring project control procedures and policies are executed. The Senior Business Systems Analyst determines methods and approaches to projects, providing business support relative to the development, analysis and identification of process changes or system enhancements. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day-to-day tasks, providing operational support for projects after implementation including problem resolution and recommendations to ensure ongoing success. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of technical data analysis experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry

     

    - Strong ETL and DWH background

     

    - Basic programming skills with Python or Java language

    - Strong SQL skills, building complex SQL queries from scratch to pull and analyze data

    - Proficiency with commonly used Business Intelligence tools, e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or other similar tools

     

    - Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within data analytics, data governance, and business intelligence

     

    - Experience developing complex solutions based on business requirements, and translating them into functional specifications

     

    - Knowledge around how to retrieve data efficiently as well as the differences and nuances between on-premise and Azure environments
