    Floral Assistant

     

    Part Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $ 17.00 - $19.00 depending on qualifications and experience

     

    Must be at least 18 years and older

    Position Description:

    Floral assistants create floral arrangements, bouquets, and displays for both retail sale and customer orders. They assist customers with the design and pricing of floral arrangements for a variety of occasions and create the final arrangement as per customer specifications.

    Your day-to-day:

    + Assisting customers throughout the flower department

    + Arranging bouquets, arrangements, and displays

    + Rotating flowers for time of year/season

    What you bring to the team:

    + High School Diploma, or equivalent, with 1-3 years experience

    + Understand art, style and the use of color to create beautiful arrangements

    + Knowledge of different types of flowers

    + Safely use pruning shears and box cutters

    + Excellent customer service

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

    + Creative with an artistic eye

    + Organized

    + Excellent interpersonal skills

    + Active listener

    + Great work ethic

    + Self-motivator

    + Flexible

    + Honest

    Working Conditions:

    + Exposure to cooler than normal office temperatures possible to maintain product freshness

    + Position requires walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting with a maximum weight of 50lbs.
