The Opportunity
CACI is seeking a SaaS Developer Engineer supporting our Army customer at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This is fully remote work except as needed to access, process, and/or review classified material and/or attend classified meetings.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead a SaaS project from inception to completion.
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable SaaS applications and microservices.
+ Build integrations with 3rd party APIs and cloud platforms.
+ Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection per DoD/Army/Cloud regulations and accreditation requirements.
+ Optimize application performance, monitoring, and uptime in a multi-tenant environment.
+ Collaborate with product managers, program staff, and technical teams.
+ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
+ Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and dev planning.
+ Troubleshoot issues and provide over-the-phone support as needed.
+ Provides specific input to the component system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, system reuses, use of COTS/GOTS, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual systems components with particular emphasis on complex networking topics.
+ Modify software and algorithms designed for traditional environments to operate in cloud environments.
+ Support Authority to Operate (ATO)/Interim Authority to Test (IATT) efforts such as generating required artifacts.
+ Work closely with application/cloud technical teams to ensure successful rollout of the solution to the cloud.
+ Able to complete Weekly Activity Reports (WAR’s) and Monthly Status Reports (MSR’s)
+ Up to 10% travel as needed
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
+ Minimum of 7 years of proven SaaS engineering background
+ Must have a strong understanding of RHEL/Ubuntu/Windows
+ Army/DoD enterprise authentication solution
+ Experience in a Java environment
+ Quarkus/Jakarta EE or other relevant framework eg. Spring Container technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
+ Perform additional duties as assigned
+ Must be DoD 8140 compliant
+ Security+ and cloud-based certifications preferred
Desired Qualifications:
+ Ability to work in a team focused, dynamic environment
+ Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated
+ Familiar with Cloud (Azure, AWS) HTML, JS, CSS
+ History API design, Scripting/configuration automation, Software assurance, source code analysis
+ Prior experience supporting DoD is preferred
A Secret clearance is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.

**Pay Range** : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$108,400 - 227,500 USD
