Job Description

+ Operates fabrication shop machinery and equipment. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

+ Weld, Fabricate, use lathe machine

+ Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template.

+ Positions work-piece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.

+ Set up and operate oxy-acetylene rig.

+ Measures work-piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

+ Operate a MIG/TIG welder

+ Read and interpret drawings

+ Operate plasma cutter.

+ Keep records of work performed, time and materials used by job.

+ Order materials and supplies required for maintenance and repair work.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

+ Work on a vertical mill and drill press.

+ Maintain cleanliness of shop area.

+ Adhere to all safety rules.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ 2 years of prior welding experience.

+ At least 18 years old.

+ You must have your own hand tools.

+ Reliable, organized, detailed and focused .

+ Ability to move up to 100 lb and lift up to 50 lb.

+ HS Diploma or equivalent required.
