Responsibilities
+ Assist nurses and providers with patient care in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
+ Provide comfort and support to mothers and families
+ Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
+ Help with daily activities such as hygiene, mobility, and feeding support
+ Keep patient rooms stocked, organized, and welcoming
+ Ensure a safe and caring environment for every patient and baby
Qualifications
Education:
+ High School Diploma/GED or currently and actively working towards completion of Diploma/GED
Certification/License:
+ Prefer candidates that have successfully completed the CNA program and are active on the Iowa Direct Care Registry
+ Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 3 months from date of hire
