Responsibilities

**ABOUT THE ROLE:** Crash Champions isseeking a strategic and detail-oriented **Senior Manager of Accounting** to help lead our accounting operations and drive continuous improvement across financial processes. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong technical foundation, leadership experience, and a passion for optimizing systems and workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

+ Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

+ Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.

+ Conduct flux analysis to explain variances and support financial insights

+ Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

+ Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency.

+ Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

+ Champion the adoption **of data analytics tools** (e.g., Power BI, Power Query) to improve reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance

+ CPA certification strongly preferred

+ 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.

+ Proven track record of team development and people management.

+ Demonstrated success in process optimization and change management.

+ Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.

+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).

+ Bonus: Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or similar platforms.
