About the Role:
This position is for a Tier 1 Technician role in Midlothian, Texas, working the first shift, Monday through Friday. A perk of this role includes free snacks. The client for this position is G2.
The core responsibility of the Tier 1 Technician is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems within G2 client data centers. While specific tasks may vary depending on the assignment, the ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills and knowledge, acting as a generalist. This includes the ability to assess both electrical and mechanical equipment.
Job Duties:
+ Uphold CBRE and Client quality, safety standards, policies, and procedures.
+ Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on automation equipment, including NavSystem verification and remediation, following defined schedules and documentation protocols.
+ Function as a first responder to automation issues, following established procedures and guiding Technician I in complex repairs, while documenting resolutions in the Client's system.
+ Offer on-site mechanical and control system support, collaborating with machine operators and engineering to resolve issues and ensuring equipment readiness.
+ Lead the setup and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of new equipment, and assist with material and equipment movement for automation.
+ Lead continuous improvement efforts, formulate corrective actions, and conduct root-cause investigations, documenting machine history and operational observations.
+ Act as the subject-matter expert for assigned equipment, liaison with operational groups, and communicate critical operational matters to supervisors/managers.
+ Complete required training, maintain necessary certifications, and efficiently perform administrative tasks, including creating tickets and mentoring Technician I, all while maintaining system updates.
Knowledge/Skills Expectations
+ Technical degree -or- Training and experience in an industrial maintenance position (5 years+)
+ Confirmed understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics and how to use them
+ Proficient use of basic hand tools, DMM, and software-based calibration, analysis, or data acquisition tools, Google Workspace
+ Ability to walk/stand/stoop/squat/kneel for extended periods without strain
+ Ability to understand and communicate technical information upline and downline
+ Experience with networking, PLCs and HMIs, drives, motors, controllers, power supplies, cameras and vision systems, servos and encoders
+ Experience with hydraulics, gearboxes, drive assemblies, conveyors, pick-and-place, and articulated arm devices
+ Familiarity with various communications protocols and Linux OS
+ Travel: up to 15%
