Certified Rehab Services Tech Responsibilities:

+ Help patients with exercises and activities prescribed by physical and occupational therapists.

+ Assist patients with mobility, including transferring, walking, and positioning.

+ Ensure patient comfort and safety during rehabilitation sessions.

+ Observe and report any changes in a patient’s condition or response to therapy.

+ Document patient progress and communicate with the rehabilitation team.

+ Set up equipment needed for physical or occupational therapy.

+ Assist with therapeutic modalities (e.g., heat/cold packs, ultrasound therapy).

+ Clean and maintain therapy equipment.

+ Provide emotional support to patients, helping to reduce anxiety or discomfort during therapy.

+ Educate patients and their families on exercises or strategies to continue therapy at home.

+ Assist patients with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, ensuring they stay as independent as possible.

+ Help patients improve their strength and mobility by encouraging participation in prescribed exercises.

+ Communicate effectively with the rehabilitation team to ensure coordinated care.

+ Report any concerns regarding patient safety or progress to the supervising therapist or nurse.

+ Adhere to care plans developed by rehabilitation professionals to ensure therapy goals are met.

+ **Maintain Clean and Safe Environment:**

+ Ensure that therapy areas and patient rooms are clean, safe, and free from hazards.

Requirements:

+ High School or Equivalent

+ Required - CNA (Nursing Assistant)

+ BLS (Basic Life Support)

+ Preferred 1 year Rehab and/or related field
