    MAMMOGRAPHY SUPERVISOR!!!

    Rare opportunity due to growth

    Danbury Hospital - Outpatient (Germantown Road) is seeking its next Mammography Supervisor to lead a passionate team in the radiology group. Due to our tremendous growth and alignment with Northwell health we are building!! We seek a Mammo Tech/Supervisor with 3 years experience, prefer a multiple specialty (X Ray, CT Scan, and or MRI and Mammography.) You will need RDMS, RVT, DRCS credentials.     Summary:

    Oversees the operation of the department modality with staffing, patient education and technical assistance. Maintains workflow through department to ensure patient satisfaction. Oversees and coordinates all department activities.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Reviews work schedules and assigns duties to technicians to maintain patient flow, accommodate emergencies & achieve productivity goals.

    2. Oversees staff in operation of equipment and provides assistance as necessary.

    3. Recommends personnel actions; training, promotions and disciplinary measures.

    4. Continuously works towards building positive customer relations with patients, physicians, health care services, hospital support divisions and other service lines.

    5. Monitors and develops as necessary quality improvement indicators to ensure continuous quality improvement & compliance with patient care standards.

    6. Works with manager to develop operation and capital budgets - monitors spending through the year.

    7. Coordinates purchase of supplies and equipment. Schedules on-site demonstrations of equipment & assists in the selection of new equipment.

    8. Conducts interim and annual reviews with employees. Addresses individual situations including informal counseling when appropriate & when needed.

    9. Ensures employee compliance of continuing education.

    10. Performs the duties of a staff technologist on a daily basis. Responsible for running a room.

    11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

    12. Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

    Other Information:

    Required: Excellent human relation, communications skills. Strong leadership and problem solving skills, good understanding of organizational goals & how departmental goals relate.

    Minimum Experience: three years

    Desired: Multiple specialty and credentials (R.D.M.S., RVT, DRCS). Multi-modality (X-ray, CTscan, MRI, mammography).

    Working Conditions:

    Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

    Occupational: Some occupational risk

    Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

     

    Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
