    Job Title: Inventory Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking an Inventory/Materials Specialist to join our team, working primarily in the kitting area of the warehouse. This role involves a dynamic mix of tasks, with approximately 70% of time spent at a computer, 20% operating material movement equipment such as standup forklifts or electric carts, and 10% walking. The position requires daily interaction with various systems including MAMM, Supermarket, Web-based programs, Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, and order tracking systems to ensure accurate inventory records.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize computer systems to track and manage inventory accurately.

    + Print inventory reports per pick lists and audits, ensuring product location and count accuracy.

    + Ensure physical inventory matches system records, owning inventory counts and records.

    + Conduct physical inventory counts as needed to verify quality and correct system information.

    + Locate missing inventory parts not accurately reflected in system records.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in inventory tracking and data entry.

    + Comfortability using stand-up forklifts and other vehicles in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office applications and SAP systems.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to solve inventory-related issues.

    + Ability to bend, twist, and lift items to count and locate products throughout the building.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.

    + Experience operating forklifts and electric carts, with comfort working at heights.

    + Prior experience with SAP systems and inventory management software.

    + Experience as a 4Q Auditor, supply chain planner, or Inventory Analyst.

    Work Environment

     

    The role operates across three shifts: 1st shift (7am-3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am), with expected overtime, including weekends, resulting in a 50+ hour work week. Training is conducted during day shifts for approximately two weeks, focusing on system knowledge and forklift operation. Safety gear including steel-toed shoes, work pants, bump cap, high-visibility vest, and safety glasses is required.

    This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
