    Position Description

    The Warehouse Inventory Manager position will oversee and manage inventory operations for our ongoing and upcoming gas processing equipment projects. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory records, ensuring efficient stock management, and implementing best practices in material control. Your role will be vital in ensuring that materials are available when needed, optimizing inventory levels, and minimizing wastage or delays. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing and executing improvement strategies to ensure warehousing, inventory management, and policies and procedures align with company initiatives.

     

    The Warehouse Inventory Manager will perform the day-to-day activities required to maintain the inventory and procurement activities in the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for performing all daily transactions, including material receipts & shipments, entering material transactions (in & out) of the Lawson Inventory / Procurement database, entering material requisitions and material receipts, and placing orders with suppliers as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee inventory management for all materials related to gas processing equipment projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels, movements, and usage.

    + Develop and maintain processes for inventory control, ensuring alignment with project schedules, procurement needs, and operational requirements.

    + Coordinate with procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for project tasks.

    + Lead inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.

    + Analyze and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing overstock and stockouts.

    + Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining inventory integrity and service levels.

    + Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries and service.

    + Manage and mentor team in relation to inventory control, providing training and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    + Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

    + Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, trends, and improvements to senior management.

    + Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

    + Conduct periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity

    + Research and resolve inventory issues

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements

    Education:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    Certifications/Licenses:

    + Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers

    + Must pass and complete safety training required by Kinder Morgan

    + Forklift Certification

    Skills, Experience, Knowledge:

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience in inventory management in a project-based manufacturing environment

    + Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and set priorities

    + Good verbal and written communication

    + Intermediate to advanced computer skills – Excel, Word, Maximo, Lawson and accounting systems

    + Ability to meet deadlines and commitments with customers

    Physical Demands:

    + This position works in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure in a construction environment during the workday

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs

    + Regularly able to sit, stand, walk and climb for extended periods of time

    + This position requires the use of standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, step ladder, box cutter, etc.

    + This position also requires the use of standard office equipment such as computer, printer, copier, phone, etc.

    Preferred experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:

    + Skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook

    + Oral & Written Communication Skills

    + Construction experience desired

    + Knowledge of pipe, valves, and fittings, as well as equipment used in amine treating, glycol dehydration, and natural gas stabilization equipment

    + Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including waste minimization practices
