Job Title: Maintenance Technician (HANDY MAN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician who is available to work from 8am to 5pm, Sunday through Saturday, as needed for operations. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other trades work.

Responsibilities

+ Perform minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other trades work.

+ Conduct maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks in accordance with approved work requests, codes, and specifications.

+ Research costs of materials, labor, and equipment to fulfill work requests, ensuring costs are within budget.

+ Obtain the necessary materials and equipment for work requests.

+ Order and manage supplies and materials for routine repairs and maintenance.

+ Utilize tools and equipment, including power tools, according to established safety rules.

+ Review special, non-routine work requests with a supervisor to evaluate feasibility, costs, time required, and priority.

+ Coordinate specialized work requests to be done by outside vendors or contractors as directed.

+ Perform various housekeeping, maintenance, and repair duties to maintain safe and sanitary work conditions.

+ Assist with pest control efforts.

+ Investigate reports of damage or breakdown of equipment/facilities and determine the cause.

+ Perform inspections, conduct tests, maintain required documentation, and/or coordinate repair for emergency eyewash and deluge shower equipment, fire extinguishers, and departmental first aid kits.

Essential Skills

+ Two years of experience in basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, small equipment repair, and other trades.

+ Must have own basic hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with electrical and maintenance tasks.

+ Proficient in repair and service work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $25.36/hr.
