Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently operate and maintain our Vertical Machining Centers. The ideal candidate will perform inspections, load materials, and ensure that machines are running smoothly. If discrepancies are found, they must be reported to the lead promptly. The role requires proficiency in blueprint reading and math skills, as well as the ability to document inspections accurately.
Responsibilities
+ Operate Vertical Machining Centers following written and verbal instructions.
+ Review traveler documents, setup instructions, drawings, and inspection forms for each job.
+ Load raw materials into vises and fixtures as instructed.
+ Deburr in-process and completed parts following guidelines.
+ Inspect parts according to MIR and relevant documentation.
+ Report any non-conformance or issues to the set-up person or Production Lead.
+ Perform tasks efficiently and effectively, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
+ Suggest improvements to part processes and departmental operations to the Production Lead and Manager.
+ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards and governmental regulations.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Lead and Production Manager.
Essential Skills
+ High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
+ Experience with Vertical Machining Centers, preferably a minimum of 2 years.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in using standard measuring tools.
+ Strong math skills.
+ Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
+ Familiarity with tooling, fixturing, and indexers.
+ Capability to complete inspection documentation and determine tolerance issues.
+ Ability to train other operators in part manufacturing processes.
+ Good manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
+ Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 environment is helpful.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Over 3 years of machine operating experience.
+ CNC machine operator experience.
+ Blueprint and mechanical inspection expertise.
+ Experience with deburring and tooling tolerances.

Work Environment
The role is based in a machine shop environment with approximately 55 employees, where safety and efficiency are prioritized.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
